Sundowner Fly-fishing Adventures at Oxbow Country Estate, offers a bespoke sport and fly-fishing experience. You only have to drive an hour to feel like you are fishing in Dullstroom or KZN midlands. With six fishing dams you will have plenty of fishing access at your finger tips. In winter we offer fly-fishing for trout (Rainbow, Brown, Gold & Red) and in summer loads of fun fishing with spin, specimen and fly for bass and carp.

Join the fishing club by purchasing a fishing package or book your day fishing on our easy online system.

There will be lots of great events to join in including Winter fly-fishing competition, Night fishing and fishing master classes hosted by local and international experts.

Our first open day on 20 Jan was well attended and the second open day on 11 February has been fully subscribed. The open days give fishing enthusiasts and opportunity to view the property and find out more about what is on offer. The fishing officially opens on the 1st March 2024.

If you would like to learn the basics or progress to intermediate skills then we will be offering a sport fishing academy.

Sundowner Fly-fishing Adventures is privileged to be operating the fishing @ Oxbow Country Estate. Oxbow is regarded as one of the top sport & fly-fishing venues in Gauteng. There are multiple fishing dams to suit the discerning sport and fly fishermen. Non fishing guests can relax and enjoy themselves on the most beautiful properties in Gauteng. You literally have a "Dullstroom-on-your-doorstep" experience in close proximity to Pretoria, Joburg, East Rand and Middelburg.

In summer we offer bass, kurper and carp using art lure, specimen and fly fishing. In winter we offer trout (rainbow, brown and red) with fly fishing only.
