Lanseria Country Estate

Sundowner Flyfishing Adventures is excited to partner with Lanseria Country Estate. We are handling all the sport and fly fishing related activities (including fishing bookings). The two quaint dams have Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Large mouth bass, Blou kurper and carp (common & grass). Catch and release for trout from April to October. Experienced fly fishing guides on site to lend a hand or host a fly fishing lesson.

From October to March we allow bass, carp and fly fishing techniques. Any trout caught on bass or carp equipment must be kept and paid for. All other species are catch and release.

While situated in a country environment, Lanseria Country Estate is still conveniently situated within half an hour from the major city centres of Fourways, Krugersdorp, Randburg and Hartebeespoort Dam. Found at the Cradle of Humankind, Lanseria Country is part of the Crocodile Ramble, allowing visitors the opportunity to participate in the many activities on offer in the area. 

Watch the sunset or gaze at the stars from our beautiful deck overlooking one of our two fully-stocked trout dams. Within the estate, you will find our entertainment complex and our onsite restaurant @ThePlace2B, for all your dining, conferencing, teambuilding, weddings and party requirements. Nearby is a children’s playground, soccer field and farm animals. Enjoy a swim in the estate pool, or walk, run or cycle along one of our specially marked routes. Lanseria hosts the Lanseria Parkrun every Saturday morning from 8am.

A. Overnight, Lodge, Self-Catering and Bed & Breakfast
All rooms are furnished and serviced daily, and come standard with commercial DSTV, king-size beds fitted with electric blankets (which can be converted to two single beds as required) and complimentary tea and coffee. Free WiFi (conditions apply). 

Self-Catering Units  – In addition to above, these are equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, pots & pans, cutlery and crockery.

Bed & Breakfast – Deluxe Standard, Luxury Standard and Economy Standard at Lanseria Country Estate offers on-suite rooms which are spacious, tastefully furnished and serviced daily. 

The estate has on onsite family restaurant @ThePlace2B, that offers a relaxed country atmosphere and South African-inspired homegrown fare. Room service is available on request. The venue is licensed. 

Day fishing rates:

All prices for day access includes a voucher (R50/Adult or R25/Child) which can be used towards meals or drinks in the restaurant. Day guests booking spa treatments do not pay day access fee. Advance booking required for day fishing bookings

Fly fishing clinic rates:

You may want to join one of our small group lesson or prefer a private individual lesson. Great for adults and kids (from 8yrs). Guests may continue fishing at leisure after the lesson. Price includes day fishing fee and voucher for food or drinks. It does not include rod hire or fly pack.

  • Beginner group lesson for 1,5 hr @ Adult/R550 & Child/R450
  • Private lesson for 2,5 hr  (mid week Tues-Thurs) @ R1000/1 fisher & R1500/2 fishers
  • Private lesson for 2,5 hr (weekend Fri-Sun) @ R1500/1 fisher & R1950/2 fishers

Corporate Fly fishing Team build rates:

This unique experience is fun and incorporates adult learning and communication skills. No prior skills required. It can be combined with a trout cook off.
