Hot Air Balloon and guided fly fishing adventure

The SFA "Flights of Fancy" is the first of our bespoke fly-fishing and flight packages. Join Sundowner Flyfishing Adventures and Air Ventures Hot Air Ballooning for a bespoke morning experience in the cradle of humankind World Heritage Site.

Start with an early morning Classic Hot Air balloon flight where you soar silently over the serene bush, farm land or Swartkops Mountains. On landing celebrate with bubbly before returning to the hotel for a delicious buffet breakfast.

After breakfast you will be escorted by your experienced fly-fishing guide to the dam. The guide will host a 2,5 hour fly fishing activity where you will be taught the basic techniques of this fascinating art form. The guide will also be on hand to provide practical fly fishing guidance and advice. Our activities are eco-friendly and we support catch and release of the fish caught.

We will provide the fly fishing equipment although you are welcome to bring your own if preferred. Fishing will be done from the side of the dam, so no wading equipment is required.

We cater for beginner to intermediate fishers, therefore no prior fly fishing experience is needed.
